Music by Igor Stravinsky, Ergis Spahiu and Alan Holley.
Albanian composer Ergis Spahiu, one of the new important voices from southern Europe, has the premiere of his Windiw for clarinet and vibraphone.
Legendary trumpeter Paul Goodchild (assoc. principal Sydney Symphony Orchestra) will perform 3 short solos by Alan Holley including the premiere of Sorrel for that most mellifluous of instruments, the flugelhorn.
Also, it is fun to mark the centenary of the composition of Stravinsky’s Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet with a performance by one of Sydney’s most important clarinettists, Richard Rourke.
Richard is joined by the awesome percussionist Kevin Man (Opera Australia and appeared with all the important percussion ensembles in Sydney) in the Spahiu and also Alan Holley’s for Richard.
Join the artists after the performance for wine and cheese.
