Allegri Ensemble, together with the Pillinger Quartet, presents an evening of breathtaking choral music to mark the Easter season.

Featuring two masterpieces of the classical canon, The Lamentations of Jeremiah (Tallis) and Jesu meine Freude (J.S. Bach), the concert also includes motets by Poulenc (Tenebrae factae sunt) and Felix Mendelssohn (In der Passionszeit and Am Karfreitag). An instrumental interlude from the Pillinger Quartet completes the program.
