Capalaba baroque ‘cellist Alex Averi is among the Brisbane Baroque Players – Yvette McKinnon (baroque violin), Allison Stenning (baroque violin), Sandy Chou (baroque flute), Shaun Wigley (baroque bassoon) & Catherine Grant (harpsichord), presenting an afternoon of chamber music performed on period instruments in the picturesque bayside suburb of Wynnum.
The program includes Suite in F, P 370a by Pachelbel, Lute Concerto in D, RV 93 by Vivaldi, Trio Sonata in C by Quantz, Troisième Balet from Quatre Balets de village en trio, Op 52 by Boismortier and works by Galliard, Dornel & Marais.
The concert also features lute soloist Joseph Meyers, who will play Vivaldi’s Lute Concerto.
Brisbane Baroque Players is Brisbane’s own period instrument ensemble, committed to bringing performances of early music on period instruments to the community.
The concert is part of the series hosted by Wynnum Manly Arts.
