Welcome to Broadford Salon Series 2023 Concerts and more

I look forward to presenting these concerts with some very fine musicians on period instruments this year.

These concerts are all at 4.00pm on a Sunday afternoon with musicians performing on baroque instruments. Peter Hagen presents these concerts in his home, a small concert hall, using his copy of a Ruckers harpsichord from the early 18^th century. Some of Australia’s best exponents of baroque music will give you an experience of chamber music within an intimate space.

“Equal Voices”

In similar vein to our Melbourne Recital Centre programme in February 2023 we present the same concept with different pieces. This programme presents what are essentially trios where it is as if the harpsichord is playing another treble instrument in the right hand with the left hand identifying as a cello.
