Experience the virtuosity and spicy flair of Vivaldi’s La Cetra and intricate duets from Handel’s Concerti Grossi Op.6, in Camerata Academica of the Antipodes’ new concert Baroque Banquet. Musical masterpieces from the Baroque combine with Renaissance dance music from Susato and Praetorius, and the serenity of Dowland and Campion, and more, in a festive programme of string and vocal music. The programme also features music by Australian composer Dr Leon Coward whose lyrical Chopin-esque style has delighted audiences in Australia and internationally.

Praised for their “auditory feast of musical works” (UK, Criticks journal) under the direction of musicologist-performer Dr Imogen Coward, the Camerata brings together an ensemble of soloists, performer-researchers and emerging artists to create a powerhouse of talent, skill, inspiration, and sound which has delighted audiences in Sydney, regional NSW and overseas.
