Elder Hall Lunchtime Concert | American Flair
3 September 2021 @ 1:10 pm - 2:00 pm AEST$14
A staple of the twentieth-century piccolo repertoire, Lowell Liebermann’s entry into the genre is an exquisite piece of modern music with a wide array of influences and an accessible harmonic style. Leonard Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story synthesise everything great about the original score – jazzy licks, Latin dance rhythms, complex modern harmonies, and operatic melodies.
