Flinders Quartet | Bartók, My Father

15 July 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

This concert is live streamed on Melbourne Digital Concert Hall

Peter Bartók’s illuminating memoir of his father, Béla, inspired Flinders Quartet to delve deeper into the musical portrait of this enigmatic man. Through anecdotes and letters, Richard Piper (dramaturge on FQ’s ‘Puck’s Dream’ and Shostakovich projects) helps unearth some personal meaning behind the seminal canon of Bartók’s six string quartets.
