Gondwana World Choral Festival 2019: Twilight Concert

The Sydney Children’s Choir Junior Performing Choir (Sydney) is joined by Hunter Singers (Newcastle, NSW), Luminescence Children’s Choir (Canberra, ACT) and Valla Voices (Mid North Coast, NSW) for this twilight treat.


The SCC Junior Performing Choir embraces 8-14 year old children with exceptional musical aptitude. They display boundless enthusiasm and an inherent enjoyment of choral singing.

In this twilight treat, they are joined by the Hunter Singers, a vibrant community choir established in 1989 by Music Director, Kim Sutherland OAM. The Newcastle-based choir is dedicated to nurturing and developing young voices and promoting Australian choral music.

The Luminescence Children’s Choir is a treble ensemble for Canberra musicians aged 7-17. Conducted by A J America, Luminescence Children’s Choir is dedicated to excellence in performance and offers young singers holistic and high quality musical experiences and education.

The young Valla Voices choir joins the Festival from the picturesque Nambucca Valley on the NSW Mid North Coast. Valla Voices is co-conducted by composer Paul Jarman who has created many compositions for Gondwana Choirs, and Bonnie Nilsson.
