In the hands of mimi duo, guitar and piano duets are breathtakingly beautiful. “Whether lulling or emphatic, they delighted the ear”, exclaimed The West reviewer, Neville Cohn. mimi duo will take you on a journey to the heart of Spain with their special duo arrangements of the fiery Asturias Leyenda(Albéniz) and adored Recuerdos de la Alhambra (Tárrega) before taking a side trip to Argentina with an up-beat cover of Piazzolla’s Libertango.
Japan’s most beloved folk tune, Sakura, is given a makeover of epic proportions! mimi duo will also feature Duncan Gardiner’s original composition The Rose, the Butterfly, the Bee and the Moth. At this event you will be treated to a performance of the work in its entirety featuring a recitation of the story.
