The Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra is delighted to announce a new initiative to provide Professional Development for music educators around the country.

The unique National ONLINE HIP Professional Development Program will feature internationally respected speakers and educators, including Co-Artistic Directors Rachael Beesley and Nicole van Bruggen. Along with guest speakers Dr Charles MacInnes, Dr Neal Peres Da Costa and Elizabeth W. Scott.

When: Session 1: Monday 4 October 7.00pm-8.30pm
Session 2: Tuesday 5 October 7.00pm-8.30pm

Where: Online via Zoom link

Who: These sessions are suitable for music educators interested in learning more about HIP resources and study pathways, Australian contemporary music and Audio/Visual Digital Content as they relate to music education.

Topics:
Teaching and integrating HIP concepts on modern instruments in primary, secondary and tertiary contexts
Speakers: Rachael Beesley and Nicole van Bruggen

Investigating music education resources (including the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra’s Voyage of Musical Discovery education kits)
Guest speaker: Dr Charles MacInnes

HIP study (Courses & Summer Schools) and Career pathways (Orchestras & Festivals) in Australia, Europe & USA
Guest speaker: Dr Neal Peres da Costa

What does Audio/Visual Digital Content mean for today’s music students? – How teaching about performance content production can engage digital natives and provide essential skills for students on and off the stage.
Guest speaker: Elizabeth W. Scott

Cost: $40 per session; $60 for both sessions
