The members of the Sydney Soloists are well known to Australian and international audiences for their orchestral, solo and ensemble performances. Most hold principal performer positions in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. They are consummate musicians who perform the masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire with passion, intelligence and exhilarating technique.
The ensemble members are Daniel Herscovitch (piano), Andrew Haveron (violin), Tobias Breider (viola), Umberto Clerici (‘cello), Francesco Celata (clarinet) and Robert Johnson (horn).
Their programme presents three masterworks that explore different and profound emotions in life. Mozart’s divertimento is full of joy and exuberance. Brahms’ clarinet trio has a beautiful autumnal mood expressed with tenderness and intimacy. Dohnányi’s sextet is grand in scope, heroic in spirit and pulsating with energy.
- MOZART – Divertimento for violin, viola and ‘cello in E-flat major, K 563
- BRAHMS – Trio for clarinet, ‘cello and piano in A minor, Op 114
