Twilight Musical Dialogues PHILANTHROPIST’s CHOICE

22 October 2017 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm AEDT

by donation

ENTRY is by donation at the door.

A unique recital from Twilight Musical Dialogues Artistic Director Sally Walker, PHILANTHROPIST’s CHOICE honours philanthropic support of the arts – something that dates back to the time of Shakespeare.

In Newcastle, donors are essential to bring large scale concerts with recognised international talent to town and the relationships between donors and artists have resulted in some creative endeavours.

As a way of saying thanks, with this concert, the donors are invited to step into the role of artistic directors and nominate works that they would like to see played. The result is a lively program, featuring works by Pachabel, local composer David Banney, Paganini, Albinoni, Falls and Britten.

Internationally acclaimed flautist Sally Walker will perform Banney’s “Psalms” with Mezzo Soprano Jenny Duck-Chong, director of award winning Sydney ensemble Halcyon and mentor to Twilight Musical Dialogues.

Joining them on stage will be young Accordionist Neil Simpson and Cathedral Organist Peter Guy; along with flautists Hannah Caterer, Sarah Mepham and Sarah Monk – who are also valued contributors to the operation of the Twilight Musical Dialogues recital series.

Take part to support those who support the arts!
