Australia’s Baroque supergroup meets traditional and sacred Persian heritage.
This project is a collaboration between Tasmania’s Van Diemen’s Band, Ensemble Kaboul (Afghanistan/Switzerland) and Luke Plumb, combining the evocative sound of old instruments from East and West including the Afghan Lute (Rubab) and Eastern percussion. Works will include arrangements of Persian music of Afghanistan, sephardic music, Erik Satie, Hildegard of Bingen, 17th Century French music and some original pieces by Luke Plumb.
