Three presents its first Melbourne Recital Centre feature performance in partnership with the MRC’s Spotlight series. “Australian Electric” features new works written for Three that highlight the combination of electric guitar, trumpet, and trombone with real-time and pre-recorded soundscapes. This program includes world premiere performances of two Australian works, James Ledger’s “Voodoo Sonnets” and Wally Gunn’s “Pinwheel.” Fay Wang’s “Steps to the Unconsciousness” draws together diverse influences from rock, experimental, and classical genres, and Ken Murray’s “Three Sketches” transforms recognisable themes from popular sources.

- Wally Gunn – Pinwheel (World premiere)
- Fay Wang – Steps into the Unconsciousness
