Margaret Plummer gained a Bachelor of Music (Studies) in 2005 from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Prior to studying at the Sydney Conservatorium, Margaret attended The Australian National University’s School of Music studying Jazz Vocal Performance in 2000. While in Canberra, she performed at Parliament House, the National Press Club and at both the Manly and Marouya jazz festivals.
In 2003 and 2007 Margaret was a semi-finalist in the Australian Singing Competition’s Mathy Awards and in 2004 was awarded 2nd place in the Joan Sutherland Vocal Scholarship. Margaret was awarded 1st prize in the 2007 City of Sydney Opera Awards . In 2005, Margaret took part in the Ronald Dowd Summer School, and then spent 5 months in Germany undertaking language courses in Berlin and a semester of university at the Hanover Hochschule für Musik und Theater.
