In 1908 Gustav Mahler conducts the New York Symphony Orchestra and the Oratorio Society of New York for the US Premiere of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection” at Carnegie Hall. More at Carnegie Halls timeline.

In 1945: 1st Musica Viva @MusicaVivaAU concert in the now Sydney Conservatorium. Blackout meant light was provided by generator from ABC, car headlights & torches.
