It was the ACO so, as expected, the performance was wonderful. Every time I’ve seen them they look excited to be performing (which isn’t always the case).
The works were lively and great for a concert on Thursday night when most of the audience is tired.
Best yet, the concert was short. On a ‘school night’ when you’re rushing from work to a concert and don’t have time to eat (and may not have had lunch), it is great knowing you can mentally escape to a different world, enjoy the music and get to a restaurant before you pass out!
