Earlier this year Cyrus attended June in Buffalo, a festival and conference dedicated to composers and attracting talented composers from all over the world. Discussion, a lot of listening and developing new relationships that might lead to new collaborations, Cyrus has returned to Australia eager to finish writing his latest commission Klash to be premiered in December.

Marques Toliver trained in the Suzuki method from age 11 and has played classical music for most of his life. Only a few years ago he was busking in Brooklyn and sleeping on friends couches… he was determined to ‘make it’ in music. One day he was ‘spotted’ while busking and a recording session saw Marques’s talent shared with the world.

Marques is a new bread of classical musician fusing the old with the new and bringing a love of classical music into the mainstream.
