NSW Doctors Orchestra presents Mendelssohn Magic at Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium.

This fundraising concert, led by Dr Joanna Drimatis, brings together 90 medical professionals and students from across New South Wales to support health and the arts.

The afternoon features acclaimed violinist Teresa Yang, a NSWDO Instrumental Scholarship recipient, performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor.

The program also includes the Spanish rhythms of Bizet’s Carmen, Catherine Likhuta’s contemporary Australian work Fully Free, and Elgar’s grand Enigma Variations.

All proceeds from the event directly benefit two causes: nurturing young musicians through the Sydney Eisteddfod’s NSWDO Instrumental Scholarship and advancing critical medical research via the Prader Willi Research Foundation Australia.

PROGRAM

Georges Bizet Prelude and Aragonaise from Carmen
Catherine Likhutas Fully Free
