From Notre-Dame to Sacre-Coeur quite literally – as the brilliant French organist, Johann Vexo, formerly of Notre-Dame de Paris (yes, ‘the’ Notre-Dame) comes to Sacre-Coeur, Bendigo – well ‘Sacred Heart’ in English!
Johann has selected a brilliant program of famous organ classics – opening with Bach’s mighty Great Fantasia and Fugue, to the conclusion with Louis Vierne’s (also from Notre-Dame) Organ Symphony No. 1, with Franck, Gigout and other French classics along the way. It’s not An American in Paris, it’s a Parisian in Bendigo!
Keys of Gold is back in 2026!
Following a spectacular debut in 2025, Keys of Gold returns for its second year, once again celebrating Bendigo’s remarkable collection of instruments and venues. Presented by Bendigo Fine Music, the festival will unfold across twelve stunning spaces, featuring thirty-two incredible instruments and one hundred and seventy-five world-class performers.
Across four weekends in July, audiences will be treated to sixteen unforgettable concerts that bring to life the beauty, history and artistry of Bendigo’s musical heritage. From historic churches to intimate settings, every performance promises a rich and immersive experience.
