Join Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra in 2023 for a season of uniquely inspiring music all with their trademark innovation, passion, and energy.
You’ll be swept up in the romance of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Serenade for Strings and revel in the Australian heartland with special guests, didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton and the captivating violinist Véronique Serret.
You’ll be enchanted by Mendelsohn’s famed Violin Concerto with guest soloist, Queensland-born Catherina Lee home from Vienna, and dive into the spooky and surreal with Camerata Cinematheque featuring short-films by Oscar-nominated filmmaker, Anthony Lucas.
Along with their annual regional Queensland tour (dates and locations to be announced), Camerata will also perform at the Orange Music Festival (Fri 10 March) with more events to be announced throughout the year.
Performing without a conductor, Camerata proudly takes full ownership over their music-making in the spirit of chamber music, resulting in engaging, passionate, and exciting performances. Known for innovative and adventurous programming, Camerata is one of Australia’s leading ensembles and thrives on collaborations with artists across a range of artforms.
